Adjustabel Sling


Wearing your sling
Fold the Balboa
Slingin half with the
shoulder strap up.
the loop with the
opening on the outer side.
Grasp the shoulder
strap with your
opposite arm and
put your head through
the opening.
Make sure the shoulder strap is folded flat and positioned with the seam on the top of your shoulder. Adjust your sling to fit snug to your stomach, below your bustline, not below your waist.


Which shoulder should you use
Wearing the sling on your right shoulder makes it easier to use your left arm, and vice versa. However, choose the side that is most comfortable for you.



Wearing your sling

Great for newborns and for breastfeeding

Cradle Style
. Sit down in a stable
place and hold baby
with baby’s head on
the side with the
shoulder strap.
Pull the outer rim of the
sling forward and slide
baby into the pocket
bottom first.
Adjust baby’s position
so baby is comfortable.
If baby sinks too deep
into the sling, you may
use a rolled towel or
blanket under baby for
support.


Babies who can hold their heads up


Sitting Style
. Hold baby on the
side without the
shoulder strap with
baby’s head up.
Pull the outer rim of the
sling forward and put
baby in the sling bottom
first with baby’s legs
extended in the sling.
Wrap the outer rim of
the sling around baby’s
back. Make sure baby
is in a stable sitting
position before you
start to walk.


Babies who can hold their heads up


Forward Style
. Hold baby facing front
sitting on your arm on
the side without the
shoulder strap..
Hold baby’s legs up
and lean baby back
against your chest
while pulling the outer
rim of the sling forward.
Slide baby into the
sling bottom first.
Baby’s legs can be
crossed or stretched
out. Let baby move
into a comfortable
position before you
start to walk.



Cuddling Style
. Hold baby facing you
on the side without the
shoulder strap.
Pull the inner rim of
the sling forward and
lower baby into the
sling bottom first with
baby’s legs on either
side of you.
Make sure baby is
seated comfortably.
Wrap the outer rim of
the sling around baby’s
back to ensure stability.


Babies who can sit without support


Toddler Style
. Hold baby facing you
on the side without the
shoulder strap. Above
your hip.
Pull the inner rim of
the sling forward and
lower baby into the
sling bottom first, with
one leg in front and the
other in back stradling
your hip.
Slide baby down to
your waist so baby is
seated on your hip.
Wrap the outer rim of
the sling around baby’s
back to ensure stability.
